Tilka is a sophomore ChemE from sunny South Florida. This contestant likes long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, and believes in World Peace, but she's a wildcard in decision making and chose her major because of a Godzilla movie. Tilka’s favorite thing about DEBUT is that it drives her to learn outside of her major and gives her a collaborative space to work with others on a project.

Aashna is a sophomore from Long Island, New York, studying neurobiology and behavior with a business minor. Outside of DEBUT, she researches Alzheimer's disease in the Schaffer-Nishimura Lab and is the Vice President for the Society for India. Her favorite thing about DEBUT is how it has expanded her knowledge on medicine beyond the biological sciences field. Working with people from many different majors, including engineering, business, and biology, she’s learned not only which medical concerns impact public health the most, but also how to work with a team and reach a common goal on engineering our ideas into reality.
